All other plates (vanity, veterans, antique, moose, etc.) must be applied for at a state MV substation (Concord, Manchester, Milford, Salem) after completing the town portion of the registration at our office. Temporary Plates are available at the state substations with proper ID and bill of sale/proof of purchase.

Transfer Plates/Registrations: The current original registration from your vehicle that you are transferring from is required, along with the appropriate paperwork for the new vehicle (you do not need to bring the plates in). Transfers cannot be completed without the original previous registration. If you do not have the original registration, a certified copy can be obtained from a state MV substation for a fee of $10. To complete the transfer at the Town Clerk's Office, the new vehicle must be in the same name as the previous vehicle registration being transferred. If you are going from own to leased vehicle (or vice-versa) you will need to complete the town portion of the registration here and then proceed to a state substation to complete the state portion.

The final bill, sent out in October and usually due by December 1st, is calculated at the current year tax rate, less the July payment. Interest is calculated at 12% from the due date of each bill.
